. Step 2. Our Work Experience Coordinator will then email the student to confirm receipt of the documents. If the Coordinator considers that the CV is of sufficient standard, they invite the student to call at a specified time for their Oral Interview with a school representative. Step 3. The student calls the school for their Oral Interview. This establishes whether the student has sufficient English ability to be able to engage in the particular Placement. Step 4. If the Coordinator is satisfied that the student’s English and CV are of a sufficient standard, LMC will then send out an invoice. Step 5. Upon receipt of payment (either via an agent or direct from the student) LMC will notify the student by email that they will begin the process of organising a Placement. Step 6. Using the student’s CV, Letter of Motivation and Enrolment Form as a guide, the Coordinator will then find the best possible Placement for the student. Step 7. When a suitable Placement has been found, the Coordinator will email a 'Placement Information Form’ to the student. This form details the nature of the Placement. Now the student must do two things: - Call the employer for a telephone interview at a time specified by the Coordinator in their email. If this time is not possible, the student must contact the Coordinator to arrange another time.
- Fill out the relevant sections of the 'Placement Information Form’ and fax it to the Coordinator. This form will be reviewed during the student’s Induction.
Step 8. When the Coordinator receives the ‘Placement Information Form’, they email it to the employer who must sign it and fax it back. Upon receipt of this, the Coordinator will email the student to confirm their Placement. This applies when the student does not need a visa or when a visa has already been granted. Step 9. LMC will then send out the Certificate of Enrolment. Step 10. Students from non-EU countries must then apply for a student visa from the British Embassy in their country of origin. Students who need to apply for a visa more than eight weeks in advance of the course start date will be allocated a placement after arrival in the UK. Please refer to the Terms & Conditions for further details. EU students do not require a visa to participate in this Programme. Step 11. After receiving the visa, the student travels to London. In the event of a visa refusal, please refer to the ‘Refunds’ section of our Terms & Conditions. Arrival at LMC: Step 1.The student arrives at LMC. Step 2. The Placement Information Form is reviewed during the Induction. Step 3. The student is asked to take the Level Test on arrival at the College. Once this has been marked, the results will be passed to the Head of Studies who will tell the student which class they have been assigned to. They will also confirm the duration of the English course and when the student is expected to return after the Placement for the final Programme Consolidation Week. At the Induction The Coordinator will: Step 1: review the student’s documentation (including Work Placement Enrolment Form, Placement Information Form, CV and Letter of Motivation) and ensure all pertinent details are present and correct. Step 2: talk the student through our Programme Guide. Step 3: talk the student through the Health & Safety policy at work.
