INTENSIVE LEGAL ENGLISH

These courses were specifically designed for lawyers and other legal professionals who require the use of the English language in their professional capacity. Special care has been taken to ensure that graduates will be able to use the skills acquired in order to enhance their communication skills (including writing and reading comprehension).

Our team of specialised trainers will endeavour to make your study experience as dynamic as possible and where required, we can custom-make specific training to satisfy your particular needs.

Our English for Professional Courses are carried-out at our campus in North London as well as at one of our ‘Executive Training’ locations in London.

We’ve learned from our experience and participants’ feedback that for most Professional English Language Courses the optimal study group size is 6-8.

Our courses are composed of 30 academic hours (unless specified otherwise) which are delivered in a format that was adapted to the academic requirements of each individual course.

Although you are likely to benefit from touching upon English Law and EC Law and Legal Systems in the applicable context, our courses are not courses in law.  However, we are able to recommend extensive reading resources to those participants who wish to expand on their legal knowledge.

Most syllabuses will include a visit to a London Court of Law, and where suitable, a visit to a relevant law firm or the Parliament (when in sitting).

Please note that due to their intensity, we recommend attending these courses on a live-in basis. The accommodation and study facilities we offer are located in reputable 4* hotels in London, where every participant’s requirement will be attended to at the highest level combined with the fact that there’s no time wasted on travel between the accommodation and location of studying.  In our experience, this is the most efficient (as well as cost effective) way to maximise the benefits of the training.

Our experience also shows that apart from the obvious benefits that are achieved by our participants, there is a large added value in making new professional networks and making lasting new friendships.

• Observing simulated meetings, discussions, negotiations, telephone conversations, etc., with ‘clients’ as well as ‘colleagues’
• Role playing of in simulated meetings, discussions, negotiations, telephone conversations, etc., with ‘clients’ as well as ‘colleagues’
• Presenting a relevant subject of your choice
• Drafting specimen contracts
• Scrutinising documents and forms

Practical stuff (for none custom-made residential courses):

Participants will be normally expected to make their own travel arrangements into a London airport where they will be collected by our meet and greet executive airport transfer service, which will take them to a designated hotel. 

We recommend arriving on Sundays to allow yourself some settling-down time prior to the commencement of our training courses which normally commence on Monday mornings and finishes on Friday afternoons. We recommend that  you make your return trip arrangements for Saturday and suitable arrangements will be made to transfer you to the airport.

The hotels we use usually offer well-equipped gyms, swimming pools, sauna, hamam, etc.  Where available, these will be offered to you without an additional charge.

Breakfast will served in your hotel and lunch may be served either at your hotel or in a restaurant located within a walking distance.

All study materials will be provided but you should bring your own stationary (legal-pads, notebooks, pens etc.)
