VISA ASSISTANCE
BEFORE COMING TO THE UK:
Students who require a visa to enter England must attend a course of at least 15 hours of supervise study per week at a school that is licensed under the TIER 4 PBS System. European Economic Area (EEA) nationals do not require a visa to enter and study in England. After receiving payment of all requested fees for accommodation and studying, the School sends the student a Certificate of Enrolment and all necessary documents regarding accommodation that must be presented to the embassy when applying for a visa.
It is now recommended to all students to apply for an entry visa before arrival.
EXTENDING YOUR VISA:
Students who are in the UK on a general student visa can apply to the Home Office to extend their visas (address below). You should apply for an extension about one month before your current visa expires. You can go to the Home Office to make your application in person by making an appointment (directions available in the office); however, we recommend that you post your application.
Your application should include: your passport, a detailed bank statement for the last three months or a sponsor’s letter and bank balance, a school letter, your police registration certificate if you were asked to register and the Home Office fee.
You can obtain Home Office forms and all relevant school documents for your application free of charge from the reception.
LMC is accredited by the OISC to provide visa assistance to its studens. More information can be obtained at the reception.
