ENGLISH PLUS DANCE

English plus Dance is designed for those students who want to combine their English course with their passion for Dance. You will study 15 hours of  General English at London Meridian College and in addition you will have 3 dance session per week. The dance sessions are held in a dance academy walking distance from the school and there is a choice between Ballet fusion, Street dance, Zumba, contemporary dance and more. You can mix up your dance session as you want. The dance sessions are paid directly to the Dance center but LMC has negotiated a reduced price and no joining fee for its students.

Please note that the Dance lessons are taught in English so an intermediate level of English would be required.

When booking your English course please mention if you want to do a plus element so upon arrival reception will give you all the info required. The favorable rates are also available to our current students so please go and see reception.

ENGLISH PLUS FENCING

 We have teamed up with the London Fencing Club to offer English Plus Fencing.
The English class consists of 15 hours of study a week, at any level and at any time.

The London Fencing Club (www.londonfencingclub.co.uk) is a large Fencing Club in Central London offering fencing at all levels from complete beginner to Competition level and in Foil, Epee and Sabre. Group classes are held during the evenings on all weekdays except Friday, and on Saturdays there is an open session for all weapons. In addition you can book private lessons from the Clubs experienced coaches.
The club is a friendly club, welcoming fencers from all over the world, although you will of course have to speak in English. There is plenty of opportunity to practice your English as most sessions tend to end up in a local pub. If you are lucky, you may get to cross swords with our school manager!
In order to maintain flexibility, we have arranged with the club that students wishing to participate should pay the club direct for the classes that they want, but the club will waive the usual joining fee if students join through LMC. The offer is of course open to current students as well.  Please ask us about this when you arrive.

ENGLISH PLUS PHOTOGRAPHY

LMC is pleased to announce its new English Plus course, English with Photography, where you can polish up not just your English but also your photographic skills. The course is aimed at students with some photography experience and their own digital or film SLR.
The English part of the course consists of 15 hours of study a week at any level and at any time.

The photography module of this course consists  of
1. One workshop per week
2.  A weekly photographic assignment
3. A trip to an exhibition
Most of the workshops will be organised by our partner 36exp (www.36exp.co.uk), who are an experienced group of photographers who also run training courses. Typical workshops include Lighting (both studio and location), Street Photography, Creative Photography. The assignments will follow on from the workshops, and 36exp will provide assessment and feedback on the assignments.
The exhibitions we go to are not just limited to the standard trips to Museums and Art galleries but will often be a bit more out of the ordinary. Previous exhibition trips have included The Doors (the Iconic Rock band) and a fascinating series of Urban photographs of East London by celebrated fashion photographer Seb Winter.
Pricing :   The workshops cost £35 for evening sessions, and £65 for all day sessions (usually at weekends). The assignment and feedback are free. ENGLISH PLUS WEBDESIGN JOOMLA

The English plus Webdesign consists of a combination of 4 days general English 3 hours per day and 2 days (6.5 hours) webdesign (joomla). You can study the 15 hours of General English at any time and the webdesign course is held on Friday and Saturday from 10am till 5:00pm.

You can buy the English plus webdesign as a stand alone course or including accommodation. You can also purchase the webdesign course individually.

Please note that the webdesign course is taught in English so an upper intermediate level of English would be required as well as your own laptop.

On Friday will be an introduction to webdesign whereas the Saturday course will cover more advanced webdesign.
